Wear Parts & Planned Replacement

The recurring component families across all machine systems — what makes them wear, and how to replace them on a plan instead of on a breakdown.

Wear-part families

Typical Wear Parts

The exact items and wear limits are defined per machine in your Path Pack documentation. These families recur across configurations.

Planning Replacement

Two criteria — whichever comes first.

  • The manual's wear limit: replace when the documented limit is reached, per your machine's spare parts and maintenance documentation.
  • Your quality trends: weekly seal appearance, cut quality and spacing records reveal wear before faults — see Maintenance Records.
  • Stock the families your consumption log shows consuming fastest; plan long-lead assemblies on a calendar instead of waiting for failure.
  • Log every replacement with running hours and film used — the log becomes next year's stocking list.
Technical Note

No universal intervals are published here — wear depends on product, film and duty cycle, and Path Pack defines limits per machine. Short answers: Which parts are considered wear parts?

Ordering Wear Parts

Identification first — then quotation.

  • Machine model and serial number
  • Part number, where marked or listed
  • Quantity and photos of the part installed

See Before Requesting a Part for the full checklist, or browse parts by system: Sealing · Cutting · Feeding · Motion.
